Step 2: Disconnect and Empty the Machine

Prioritise safety by disconnecting the power supply to the ice machine. Empty the ice bin and remove any remaining ice.

Step 3: Clean the Exterior

Address the exterior surfaces of the Glacier ice machine:
Dampen a cloth with the Ice Clear cleaning solution and wipe down the machine's exterior, including the control panel, buttons, and switches.

Step 4: Clean the Accessories

Spray both the scoop and the bin handle with Ice Clear, then rinse thoroughly. Use a clean cloth to dry.

Step 5: Clean the Interior

Remove all ice from the storage bin, do not introduce any chemicals into the machine unless ice is removed.

Wash the bin liner with Ice Clear and rinse thoroughly.

Soak a clean cloth with Ice Clear and wipe both sides of the slope and the door's inner surface.

Wipe off the cleaner with a damp cloth.

Mix 5 litres of water with 18ml of 5.25% Sodium Hypochlorite solution in a suitable container.

Soak a clean sponge or cloth in the solution and wipe the bin liner, bin door and slope. Note - do not wipe dry or rinse after sanitising, allow to air dry.

Once dry, turn on the machine and allow the bin to fill completely.

When the bin is full you must then discard all of the ice. Perform this routine at least twice.

Maintaining a Clean Machine

Regular cleaning and maintenance are key to keeping your Glacier ice machine in optimal condition.

Consider the following tips:
- Establish a Cleaning Schedule: Aim to clean your ice machine at least once a week. However, if you observe any signs of buildup or decreased performance, increase the cleaning frequency.

- Staff Training: Educate your staff about the importance of cleanliness and train them on the proper cleaning procedures for the Glacier ice machine.

- Monitor Water Quality: Keep a close eye on the quality of the water used in your machine. Poor water quality can lead to mineral deposits and affect the ice machine's performance.

By following these best practices and implementing a regular cleaning routine, you'll ensure that your Glacier ice machine continues to deliver premium ice.
